The has a long and established tradition of research excellence, dating back to 1919, when we introduced the first Bachelors of Commerce nearly 100 years ago.

Part of the University of Edinburgh, ranked 23 in the world (QS 2017), with a rich heritage of delivering education for more than 400 years, the Business School has an international student body typically representing more than 60 countries.
The School's teaching and research covers six main subject areas - accounting and finance, entrepreneurship and innovation, management science and business economics, marketing, organisational studies and strategy, and international business.
Today in addition to 21 undergraduate programmes encompassing a range of business topics, two programmes as well as an , and we offer 13 coverage cutting-edge themes including for example: Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Business Analytics, Finance (with specialisms in Energy, Investment and Corporate Finance), Marketing and Business Analysis, and International HR Management.

We work closely with professional bodies including the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD) and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) institute to ensure our human resource management and finance programmes provide graduates with the accredited qualifications they need to secure professional roles. The School is also tripled accredited (AMBA, AACSB, and EQUIS) thereby giving you a reassurance of quality.

If you are looking to significantly enhance your career prospects - either within your current organisation or somewhere new - the Full-time MBA offers a dynamic, intensive opportunity for progression. There are two variants to this MBA both of which last only 12 months. The first allows you to specialise in certain areas such as Finance, Entrepreneurship, or Strategy. The other option is our full time MBA with an international exchange which allows you to increase your international experience by studying first in Edinburgh and then in one of our international partner institutions.
