About University of Chichester
The is situated in the beautiful county of West Sussex. Our heritage dates back to the 19th Century, when Bishop Otter College was established in 1839. Previously a teaching college, Chichester became a University in 2005.
The University has two campuses, Bishop Otter Campus in Chichester which is situated just outside the city, and the Bognor Regis Campus which is located a short walk from the beach. are a short walk from town centres with excellent public transport links. Our campuses host buildings that are both historic and modern, specialist and technologically innovative, all set in beautifully tended gardens.
World leading research
Each year our students work alongside our lecturers to contribute to and conduct world-changing research. In the most recent government assessment of University research, the Research Excellence Framework (REF), 90% of our research was rated as nationally leading with 15% being classified as world leading.
