We operate a flexible admissions policy – this means that you could receive a lower conditional offer than the typical offer, informed by our assessment of your complementary non-academic achievements and experiences. For courses that require interview or portfolio review, this may also be considered in the level of any conditional offer that follows if your application is successful.
Degree and/or experience
Normally a good honours degree or equivalent is required. Work experience is useful but not essential. Applicants with non-standard entry qualifications will be considered. If you are unsure whether you meet the entry requirements then please us.
Months of entry
Our CIM-accredited Marketing MSc develops your understanding of marketing from a strategic perspective, with specialisms available in Digital Marketing, Branding and Communications, Social Marketing and International Marketing.
Using a mix of lectures, practical experience from live client projects and case studies our course will prepare you for a career in marketing. You will learn about both the theory and practice of marketing at an advanced level, and cover topics such as research methodologies, marketing planning and strategy.
At the end of the first term, you will also have the option to specialise in one of four areas:

- Marketing (Branding and Communication) MSc
- Marketing (International Marketing) MSc
- Marketing (Social Marketing) MSc
Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the world’s leading professional marketing body, this course progresses you towards Chartered Marketer status through exemptions from examinations of the institute.

For non-native speakers of English
In order to benefit from, contribute to and enjoy the course, a good command of spoken and written English language is required. If English is not your first language, you will need English language proficiency equivalent to an overall IELTS score of at least 6.5, with 6.0 in the written test and a minimum of 5.5 in the other elements.
International students whose language skills do not match the IELTS scores set out here should consider applying for this course through the at the university's Language Institute.
