We offer a wide range of taught and research programmes at postgraduate level. Qualifications include MSc, MA, MPhil, PhD, MRes, MBA and LLM. For more course information, visit our online prospectus.
Manchester is one of the UK’s best cities for students. It is a diverse and thriving city, blending a rich industrial past with a trailblazing future. There are people of all ages and all cultures building their lives here but at its heart, the city retains a proud and distinctly Mancunian identity. The different districts of the city are like discrete villages, easy to get around, and within walking distance of each other. Each part of town has its own character, ambience and particular tribes. Manchester is a truly exhilarating place to come and learn – no wonder so many people stay here after they’ve finished studying.
Our campus is designed around our students’ experience, providing them with some of the best learning and teaching facilities in the UK. The University is just a few minutes’ walk from the retail and cultural heart of Manchester and it is easy to get around with the extensive bus, tram and rail network. Manchester and the region are well served by motorways and reliable public transport, so other cities are also within easy reach.
We’ve created outstanding academic facilities with stylish lecture theatres, seminar rooms and study zones, equipped with the latest technology and specialist equipment to ensure that you get the most out of your studies.
Our five-storey library is open 24 hours a day during term time and there are touchdown zones all over campus, with PC access and free Wi-Fi throughout. We have several fantastic sport facilities right on our doorstep, offering a great range of health and fitness activities and exclusive membership deals for students of the University.
We offer apartments, environmentally sustainable eco-townhouses and en-suite rooms, as well as budget options. Our student accommodation is conveniently located, either on campus or nearby, so that students are close to the buildings they are taught in as well as the library, Students’ Union and a range of food outlets. All rooms come with free Wi-Fi, have access to a shared kitchen and laundry facilities and prices include insurance. All of our student rooms are in buildings with a 24-hour security presence, so that students can feel safe at home. Staff are on hand during the day to help students with queries, and all accommodation has a Residential Life team to provide support to you in the evenings and at weekends.
We’ve made it our mission to help our students become highly employable, responsible professionals by delivering excellent teaching and research through courses accredited by key industry bodies.
We work with businesses across a range of sectors, ensuring that our courses reflect today’s challenges and demands, so that our students develop the skills and knowledge to make their next career move. Manchester Metropolitan students also have access to lifelong careers support from our dedicated Careers and Employability service.
